On February 8, team’s veteran Viktor Chanov has passed away at the age of 57
Viktor Ivanovych was Shakhtar's graduate. He played for the Donetsk side for the period of 1978-1981. With Shakhtar, he won silver and bronze medals of the USSR championship, raised the USSR Cup, having made 75 appearances.
The Football Club Shakhtar offers its deep condolences to the family and friends of the departed.
