The Pitmen shared their thoughts about the match vs the Swedes
Ivan Ordets, Shakhtar defender:
- When the team win, it gives everyone positive emotions, making it a bit easier for us to work. Especially as we won with a big score, which is a double pleasure. We were successful in many ways offensively, leading to the six goals scored. In the morning, the head coach pointed out the errors we had made in yesterday's match against Austria. So today we’ve played much better: we converted our chances, operating quite securely defensively. That said, I want to note that both line-ups proved themselves well: both those who played in the first half, and those who appeared in the second one. Swedish football a little bit exotic for us, taking on such rivals is always interesting. Perhaps, meetings with those teams are possible only while on a training camp.

Any victory gives you confidence, so we’ll work even more enthusiastically. It’s important to regain full fitness before the season start and be fully ready for the opening competitive games
Vasyl Kobin, Shakhtar defender:
- The scoreline says it all. We defended well, making excellent attacking moves and claiming a very good result. The opponents are strong enough, as they’ve won the third spot in the Swedish league. Therefore, such a big win is entirely our achievement, having nothing to do with the opponents’ weakness. We’ve drawn the right conclusions from yesterday's game, not allowing Norrköping to create anything today, capitalising on their errors at the same time. Any victory gives you confidence, so we’ll work even more enthusiastically. We’ve got many more training camp days, more sessions and friendlies ahead. It’s important to regain full fitness before the season start and be fully ready for the opening competitive games.
