We continue to recall the goals scored in 2016
The ending of the season 2015/16 brought the Pitmen another silverware – Ukrainian Cup. It was the man of the final Oleksandr Gladkyy who grabbed the brace against Zorya. That game was the last for Mircea Lucescu as Shakhtar head coach, who had left the club since then.
The Orange-and-Blacks started a new season under the management of a new mentor - Paulo Fonseca. Throughout first months, fans had noted the great performance of Fred, Taison, Bernard and other Shakhtar players; Yevhen Seleznov reminded us about his outstanding goal-scoring flair after returning to his home team.
The opening goals turned out to be stunning and memorable for the fans of the Donetsk side. Fred’s goal against Chornomorets may well claim the best goal of 2016 award. The Brazilian decided to strike from distance, and his shot flew a beautiful trajectory into the top corner.
