In the two Europa League games vs Gent, Shakhtar have notched 10 goals
Out of the goals against the Belgians, a well-placed finish from Viktor Kovalenko deserves special attention. In the home game with Gent, he fired home from around 40 metres to lob it over the goalkeeper who dashed out. Besides that, a crucial strike came from the Donetsk midfielder Maksym Malyshev to tally his first goal in European competitions.
In the away leg, Shakhtar claimed a comeback win, scoring goals to meet every taste. The goal by Taison was particularly beautiful, it rounded off an excellent move by the Bernard and Ferreyra pairing.
We also want to highlight the Argentine’s goal against Zorya. In this case, a subtle pass by Marlos got past three Luhansk defenders for the striker to net the winner.
