On June 23, the Miners took part in filming a promo video of the 2017/18 home kit
It stars Bernard, Facundo Ferreyra, Viktor Kovalenko, Yaroslav Rakits’kyy and captain Darijo Srna. The filming took place at the team’s suburban training facility in Sviatoshyno and in a photo studio in Kyiv. The screenplay for the video was written by the famous Ukrainian director Marian Bushan.
- Shakhtar really miss their home city of Donetsk, the Donbass Arena and their fans, – Marian Bushan pointed out. – Nostalgia for the home formed the basis of our video. We want to create a story that reflects the team’s current everyday life. After all, the players spend most of their time travelling, at the same time they don’t lose heart and believe that they will be back. The new kit has features of Shakhtar’s home.
- The outfit is very nice, – Shakhtar captain Darijo Srna shares his impressions. – I like the idea of the colours representing our precious Donbass Arena, which we all have been missing.
- Shakhtar’s uniform is not only beautiful every time, but also comfy, – says the defender Yaroslav Rakits’kyy. – I feel very comfortable wearing it. There are some changes in the design, plus the shirt’s new elements will remind us of the Donbass Arena.
The presentation of Shakhtar's home kit will take place a few days before the Ukrainian Super Cup tie.
