Shakhtar midfielder speaks about Ukraine’s preparation for the 2018 World Cup qualifier vs Finland

- Maksym, what did the training camp start with?
- First there was a small meeting where the head coach Andriy Shevchenko said that everyone was facing some serious work. An important match against Finland is at stake, and we must emerge victorious.

- Did you analyse the opponents’ play?
- No, but each of us has an idea who we are to meet with. I think that we will study the national team of Finland more thoroughly closer to the game.

- The national team also have a friendly against Malta ahead. Will it help you prepare for the encounter with Finland?
- Of course it will. Nothing helps to prepare for a responsible match better than another game. Training is a good thing, but in a friendly game you can not only check all your ideas, but also practise certain things, get some practice and be in good shape to approach the crucial match well prepared.

- And how can Shakhtar players, being the champions and Cup winners after a difficult season, find reserves and motivation for the last effort before the holiday?
- In fact, that's a pleasant fatigue. Personally, I feel fine, like, I think, the rest of my club mates do. I am glad to be in the national team camp. We are going to work to achieve the maximum result.
