Shakhtar on international duty: when and vs whom

In the coming days, as many as 12 Shakhtar players may well be fielded for different national teams

The Miners are most extensively represented in Ukraine national team. The head coach Andriy Shevchenko called up 9 Shakhtar players for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier vs Finland. The meeting in Tampere will be held at 19:00 on June 11. Before the encounter with Finland, the Blue-and-Yellows will have a friendly against Malta on June 6 in Graz, Austria. The game kicks off at 20:00.

Ukraine U21 featuring Oleksandr Zubkov will take part in the Lobanovskyi Memorial. The games will be held from June 6 to June 8 in Kyiv and Boryspil. The opponents are Montenegro, Finland and Slovenia. The Ukrainians’ first fixture will be held at 18:00 on June 6. At the V. Lobanovskyi Dynamo stadium in Kyiv, the Blue-and-Yellows will take on Montenegro.

Taison won his third Brazil cap. The Selecao are facing two friendly matches in Melbourne: vs Argentina on June 9 and vs Australia on June 13. Both fixtures kick off at 13:05 Kyiv time.

Giorgi Arabidze was called up by Georgia national team again. Volodymyr Vaiss’s men will play a friendly vs St. Kitts and Nevis in Tbilisi on June 7, also facing Moldova in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Chisinau on June 11. Both meetings kick off at 19:00.
