From 6 to 8 June, Kyiv and Boryspil hosted an international tournament involving U21 national teams

Initially, Oleksandr Holovko’s lads beat Montenegro U21 2-1. Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Oleksandr Zubkov remained on the bench due to minor injury. Meanwhile, Shakhtar U21 defender Ihor Kiryukhantsev,  who had recently made his debut for Paulo Fonseca’s team vs Oleksandriya,  played for 90 minutes.

In the final, the Blue-and-Yellows met with Finland. Both Miners appeared on the pitch in the second half. Oleksandr Zubkov actively entered the game, many times spearheading attacks and creating a few scoring opportunities. However, neither side emerged victorious in normal time. In the penalty shoot-out, the visitors were luckier to claim a 5-3 win. Shakhtar midfielder was the first to take a spot kick and scored a goal.
