The Donetsk side footballers shared their experiences of the meeting with the Luhansk team

Denys Arendaruk, Shakhtar U21 forward:

- Today, we mainly lacked realization of our clear-cut opportunities. We tried to pull the opponents higher and carve them open through open spaces. In general, we outplayed Zorya but had bad luck. It's not the first match when we create so many moments of danger and fall short of converting them. Never mind, we will score in the coming matches, and everything will go smoothly. We do not lose our hope for the title race. The games vs Dynamo await us, so we must beat them, win all other matches and hope for the opponents to lose points.
We created many scoring chances, but lacked a final pass or a good finishing shot. In general, we played a good match, displayed organized defence, spotted each other, and delivered a lot of attacking moves. We did not manage only to score
Taras Kacharaba, Shakhtar U21 defender:

- We created many scoring chances, but lacked a final pass or a good finishing shot. In general, we played a good match, displayed organized defence, spotted each other, and delivered a lot of attacking moves. We did not manage only to score, although Zorya have not dropped back in defence today, as the rest of the competitors do in the domestic league. The Luhansk side wanted to prove themselves and surged forward too, so we had the opportunity to move from defence to attack quickly. However, throughout the training sessions we are practicing games against even the most saturated defence, courtesy of short one-twos and racing behind defenders’ back. We will vie for the top spot until the very end! Given the second stage, we have chances for winning the title. We must fight until the last round and convert our goal-scoring chances in the coming encounters.
