U21: Ukraine drew with Turkey

On March 24 in Istanbul, Ukraine U21 national team held a friendly match against peers from Turkey as part of preparation for the 2019 UEFA European U21 Champinship qualification start

The head coach of the Blue-and-Yellows Oleksandr Holovko fielded three Pitmen in the starting line-up: defender Ihor Kiryukhantsev, as well as forwards Andrii Boriachuk and Oleksandr Zubkov. Kiryukhantsev played for ninety minutes, while Boriachuk and Zubkov were replaced in the 67th minute.

The hosts opened the scoring at the end of the first half. Deniz Hümmet scored an opener. The Ukrainians managed to draw level in the 62nd minute through Yurii Vakulko’s goal. Before the final whistle, the numbers on the scoreboard remained unchanged – 1-1.

On Tuesday, March 28, Ukraine U21 team will have another sparring against Serbia national team.
