Taras Stepanenko made his debut for the Donetsk team on July 4, 2010 in the Super Cup tie against Tavriya (7-1) – in the 58th minute he replaced Tomas Hübschman. It was the player’s first trophy, and over just 7 seasons with the Orange-and-Blacks he became the domestic champion 5 times, won 5 Cups and 5 Super Cups of Ukraine. In all competitions, Stepanenko notched up 15 goals.

The current season is one of the most successful in Taras’ career: he made 41 apps and scored 4 goals. On May 30, 2017, the footballer signed a new deal with the club, extending the cooperation for 5 more years – until 2022.
