- I think we’re facing one of the most challenging league games. Vorskla are strong. A crucial match lies ahead, we’ve spent the last week training continuously. It’s true that we always lose some momentum due to a short break. However, I believe that we’re fully ready and will turn in some great performance the day after tomorrow.
- What do you make of the performance of Ukraine and Marlos?
- Tough and responsible match. It wasn’t easy for both opponents emotionally. The Ukrainians got off to a flying start, but over time the Croats dominated it more. Unfortunately, Ukraine finally lost. Initially, one always needs a certain period of adaptation. Marlos is a great player, he deserves everything he’s got. I’m confident that over time he’ll be able to fulfil himself and help the national team. We are happy for Marlos and hope that all the fans will be happy with him.
- Today marks 21 years of Rinat Akhmetov's presidency. Do you feel that he’s missed by the team at Shakhtar matches?
- Of course, it’s difficult. It was very pleasant when we played in Donetsk, and the president attended every game. We always felt his support! Unfortunately, he can’t be present at the stadium presently. We hope that everything will get normal and fine again.
- Over ten days Shakhtar will have three crucial matches: against Vorskla, Feyenoord and Dynamo. How will you prioritize them?
- We have one priority - to win every match. We fight only for victory. Of course, the Ukrainian League is most important for us. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t forget that we also perform pretty well in the Champions League, so we’ll psych ourselves up for that as well. In any case, we’ll give our maximum, which will positively influence our future.
