Alan Patrick spoke about Shakhtar’s preparation for the game vs Karpaty
- I suppose, such a tight schedule is even good for the team: everyone will get some match practice. We’ve still got another day to properly recover after Man. City and to get prepared for Karpaty.
- The Lviv team have changed a lot compared to last season. What kind of game are you expecting?
- We try to scrutinise every opposing side. Paulo Fonseca gives us the maximum information about their strengths and weaknesses. I think we’re fully ready for Sunday’s game.
- How did the Brazilians react to the fact that Marlos is about to be granted the Ukrainian citizenship and, possibly, will play for the national team?
- To be honest, we haven’t discussed this topic yet. I guess there’s no final decision yet. When this happens, then I’ll be able to comment on something. Marlos is my close friend, and I’ll be happy for him if he starts playing for the national team. I think he’ll help the Ukrainian team achieve their main goal. I will be rooting for them.
- Have you thought about getting the Ukrainian citizenship to play for the national team?
- I’ve never thought about that, but anything can happen in life. First I need to gain a foothold at Shakhtar, spend more time in Ukraine, and then, probably, I'll give thought to that.
