The Miners are preparing for the Ukrainian Premier League round 30 centrepiece game vs Zorya
Shakhtar have got three domestic league games and the Ukrainian cup final left on their fixture calendar this season. On Monday, the Orange-and-Blacks started preparing for another UPL meeting to be held in Kharkiv on May 5. Zorya are way more than just important rivals for the Donetsk team. The teams’ recent encounters have been really intense. The Luhansk team are competing for bronze medals, while Shakhtar are topping the league table three rounds away from the end of the competition.

After a five-month break, the Miners returned to the Sviatoshyn base, which has become the team’s regular training facility for their stays in the capital. An hour-long intensive training was based around ball exercises. The players worked on the passing accuracy, ball control, and other playing elements. The session ended with a small-sided game across one half of the pitch.
