The Rinat Akhmetov to Children! large-scale charity campaign has been launched in Ukraine. Almost 100 thousand children will receive New Year's gifts from the president of FC Shakhtar

All children are superheroes

Your Super Power is the main theme of this year’s campaign. The major objective is to help children to believe in themselves, to show them the diversity of opportunities for personal fulfilment, to motivate them to achieve big goals in life. As part of the Rinat Akhmetov to Children! campaign, five hundred kids from 9 boarding schools will have meetings with TV stars, with the hosts of popular shows and news programmes of the Ukraina TV channel explaining that every child has a superpower - the main thing is to dream, believe and be persistent in achieving the goal.

- A wonderful tradition initiated by Rinat Akhmetov has been changing children's lives for the better and making them believe in miracles for 18 years now. The children deprived of parental care need that the most. We believe that every such child has their own unique talent and the strength to fulfil it. It’s very important to help those kids to unlock those capabilities and give them the confidence that they can achieve their goals and change the world for the better, - says the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation Director Roman Rubchenko.

Miracle every year

The good tradition is already 18 years old, and it began in 2001, when Rinat Akhmetov and his friend Igor Krutoy visited on St. Nicholas Day the boarding schools and hospitals in Donetsk to wish everyone happy holidays. Over the years, more than 50 family-type homes received the assistance, including funds for purchasing residential property, along with 10 hospitals and 20 boarding schools. Just in the last 4 years, more than 600 thousand children have received presents thanks to the Rinat Akhmetov to Children! campaign.
