On July 12, the V.S. Boyko stadium in Mariupol hosted the third children's Talent Day competition

In June, similar competitions were held in Kharkiv and Lviv.

From Donetsk to Lviv

Shakhtar Social initiated the third Talent Day. The project area was not limited to Mariupol and Donetsk Oblast: the guys from Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Sumy, Lviv, Nikopol and Truskavets came to showcase their football talent. A total of 96 children took part in the event.

Winners and prizes

The guys born in 2005 and 2006 were traditionally divided into 6 groups of 16 people, playing games in the 4-on-4 format. In each game, depending on the outcome and goals scored, the referees awarded them points. The winners based on the points scored are Volodymyr Grechishnikov, Ruslan Boyko, Yaroslav Ischenko, Denys Mikheev and Ruslan Fesenko. All of them received prizes from the club.

A dream to enter the Academy

However, the Talent Day is primarily a great opportunity to attract the attention of scouts and receive an invitation to the Shakhtar Academy. The selection process is based not only on the number of points scored, but also on the qualities displayed by each child.

- The organization, as always, is top-level, featuring many talented children, - the FC Shakhtar Academy scouting coach Yaroslav Skidan shares his impressions. - We selected 9 or 10 boys: I talked to them and their parents, we will invite them to the trial. Some of the guys have gone home to pack their belongings to visit us in Schaslyve as early as on July 15. It’s not that easy for the scouting unit to cover the whole of Ukraine, with such events helping us to do so. There are some talented children everywhere. We want them to come to our Academy.
