England are the strong opponents, so we’re facing a tough encounter. For the national team, this is an important game for advancing to the Euro competition, and we are approaching it with maximum concentration
Also, the coach called up the Shakhtar midfielder Oleksandr Zubkov, who told us about the preparation for tomorrow's meeting:
- England are the strong opponents, so we’re facing a tough encounter. For the national team, this is an important game for advancing to the Euro competition, and we are approaching it with maximum concentration. There’s a wonderful microclimate in the team, a friendly win over Slovenia also cheered us up, as we delivered a pretty good performance and scored three goals. It's always nice to get prepared along with positive results. I’m glad that I spent all 90 minutes on the pitch in that game. Three to four days was quite enough for me to recover, so I'm fully ready for the match against England.
Strengthening by Shevchenko
In Sheffield, the Ukraine players Viktor Kovalenko, Andrii Lunin and Volodymyr Shepelev joined the Ukraine U21 team. With Andrii Shevchenko at the helm, they attended a training camp in Spain, being able to help the U21 team in the meeting with England U21.
