Shakhtar founded a company for the implementation of social projects and the development of football culture in Ukraine
The Shakhtar Social foundation will carry out activities in the following areas:
- development of children's grassroots football;
- training volunteer coaches;
- supporting gender equality;
- implementation of football projects for people with disabilities;
- charity.
- Football is not limited to 90 minutes and the field’s sidelines. This is a phenomenon, a social tool that can change the lives of millions of people, stressed the CEO Sergei Palkin. - We understand that our brand and the players’ popularity should work for the benefit of the community, that’s why Shakhtar is a socially responsible football club. There are increasingly more projects, they require special attention and management. And, following the example of European football foundations, we decided to establish the club fund. With its help, we will develop children's grassroots football, paying special attention to creating opportunities for the children with disabilities.
