- What did you like about Shakhtar’s play, and what you didn’t like at all?
- First of all, I didn’t like the fact that we conceded three goals. The guys tried hard, especially in the second half. However, we must admit that it was really difficult to play the opponents with such individual and team attributes.
- You played without two key players. Does the outcome mean that you've got not enough subs, or that those to have replaced the missing players, just haven’t reached that kind of level?
- I think that even with Taison and Marlos, it would be very difficult against such a team as Manchester City. Of course, some guys are still inexperienced, they need time to step it up and feel more confident. On the whole, Shakhtar always try to improve and develop, our doors are open.
- When Ismaily moved more upfield, you got more aggressiveness. Don’t you plan to switch to the play with three central defenders in the future, as it obviously allows you to compensate for the loss of two key players and to improve your attacking?
- No, we will definitely not change the formation. I think we can’t judge what’s happening on the pitch by just one game. We have a well-developed tactic. That’s interesting, but I didn’t think about our team operating that way. To be honest, just because that formation doesn’t quite impress me.
- What do you make of your chances of advancing from the group after the Hoffenheim – Lyon tie? Is your Champions League goal still the same?
- Our goal is to try to win the next match. It's hard to start counting right now. We need to move step by step, to think about each match at the right time and not to look too far into the future.
- Guardiola said that if all the Shakhtar players had been available, the match could have developed differently. Do you have a feeling that with Marlos and Taison you might secure a positive result?
