Shakhtar U19 head coach Andres Carrasco and the goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin reflect on the 1-0 victory over Zorya U19

Andres Carrasco, head coach:

- It was an encounter that contained a bit of everything. In the first half, we completely controlled the game, surpassed the opponents and eventually found an opportunity for scoring a goal. In the second half, after the substitution in Zorya, the task seemed to be simplified, but it played into the hands of the Luhansk outfit: they could afford to take risks because they didn’t have anything at stake, while we experienced some tension. Our players need to get used to this because they represent a great club, their region, the fans and must be able to cope with pressure in order to play in the top flight. And it is worth to give the guys their due - they were defensively organized to the end and managed to withstand the onslaught. In the championships, you win in a tough competition, and this will happen in every match. We have to fight and endure it in order to deserve the victory.
I didn’t count the number of saves that I made. Most importantly, our team have won it
Anatolii Trubin, goalkeeper:

- In the first half, we attacked more, controlled the events on the field and scored a goal, and in the second half the opponents already had to recoup, and the Luhansk players charged forward, increasing the pressure near our goal. We tried to put pressure on them, to carry out counterattacks, but, apparently, we started losing strength, and Zorya acted more aggressively. This can explain the chances that occurred in our penalty area. I didn’t count the number of saves that I made. Most importantly, our team have won it. Are we under pressure due to the responsibility for the outcome? No, as we work in full force, with each match being like our last one, so we give our one hundred percent. If we continue in the same way, we will reach our goal.
