- If the fans applaud after the clash, it means that we played very decently. I’m happy with our performance, perhaps a little less in offensive terms, because we haven’t scored any goals, although there were preconditions for equalising. I would like to have the same support in all the remaining home games. I am satisfied with our aggressive actions, I mean the sportsmanlike ones. We left next to zero spaces to the opponents, meeting them actively, and withstanding that pace. Shakhtar have greater speed and skill. However, believe me, we were determined to win only today - no parking the bus at all. We didn’t drop deep, being active in midfield and in the opponents’ defensive area. We put a lot of pressure. Well done, guys!
- What helped you to look like that and to spend so much time attacking? Is that due to your fitness, or psychology?
- While getting prepared, I almost every day stressed this: if we want to achieve our goal, we shouldn’t look at whether it’s Shakhtar, Dynamo, or Zorya, but to play actively instead. Plus we build our tactic for each opponent. Of course, we sometimes lack the skill in the finishing phase. Well, and the penalty situation surprised me - you will see why yourselves.
