On December 2, the House of Football hosted the DUFLU Golden Ball awards

At the grand ceremony, they awarded Ukraine’s best young footballers and coach based on the results of the 2018/19 season of the Children and Youth Football League. Shakhtar players were represented across 8 nominations, with 5 Miners claiming the Golden Ball award.
 
Goalkeeper Vladyslav Kravets is the Best Defensive Player in the U14 age group
 
Defender Andrii Buleza is the Best Defensive Player in the U15 age group
 
Defender Eduard Kozik is the Best Defensive Player in the U16 age group
Eduard Kozik: “I am really delighted with this award! My dream is to get and consolidate my position in the first team of my home club, and it would also be nice to become a world champion with Ukraine national team”
Midfielder Oleh Ocheretko is the Best Offensive Player in the U16 age group
Oleh Ocheretko: “It's nice when you are recognized as the season’s best footballer. I want to thank my parents for their support, along with the Academy coaches and the team. Without them, I wouldn’t have got this award”
Midfielder Georgiy Sudakov is the Best Offensive Player in the U17 age group
 
A Shakhtar Academy coach Oleksandr Sytnyk was recognized as the Best Coach of the 2018/19 DUFLU season after leading his team to the Ukrainian League title glory for two consecutive years.
It’s really nice to hold this award in my hands. It is recognition of not just my work, but also of the work of all the coaches and staff at our Academy, the team players
