Shakhtar players will help children of Krasnohorivka

Over UAH 2 million will be allocated for repairing the gymnasium damaged as a result of armed hostilities
The town of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk Oblast, is located five kilometres from the contact line. In the course of combat activity, the gymnasium - in which children still continue training - was heavily damaged.
Shakhtar players addressed the school with a proposal to help to repair it. The work has commenced. Builders promise to complete the repair within two months. The total project budget exceeds UAH 2 million.
Taras Stepanenko, Shakhtar midfielder:
- Children are our future. People told us about that story, and we embraced the idea of helping them. We decided to allocate funds and have the gym glazing restored so that the guys could come over and do sports any time of the year. Professional football and holding sports competitions in Ukraine are good things, but we also shouldn’t forget about the development of children's sports, the conditions, and infrastructure. By taking this step on our part, we want to bring people joy, so that they know that they haven’t been forgotten.
We want to point out that earlier, FC Shakhtar sent balls and equipment to the kids in Krasnohorivka.
