The Miners continue working at the pre-season training camp in Velden
On the morning of July 10, the team conducted a long training session involving exercises for pressure and dispossession in tight spaces, as well as practicing set pieces. The main focus of Luis Castro was a small-sided game across the pitch, in which he tried some tactical things.
I really want to stay at the club - this is my major ambition and goal. I work a lot to prove myself, I give my one hundred percent in training and in friendly games, I hope I will be able to help the Orange-and-Blacks in the future

- The preparation is going really well! We train a lot, giving our all in training. I know the requirements and formations of Luis Castro somewhat better because I played under his leadership at Vitoria Guimaraes. They used the same tactic, and we proved ourselves. Now the coach wants to teach the team his playing style. Given that Shakhtar has top-level players, everything will run like clockwork soon. I really want to stay at the club - this is my major ambition and goal. I work a lot to prove myself, I give my one hundred percent in training and in friendly games, I hope I will be able to help the Orange-and-Blacks in the future. I’ve been in Europe for eighteen months now, I feel that in many ways I’ve stepped up my performance, I’ve grown. I think it will be a great season - both for Shakhtar and for me.
