On July 5, the Miners started playing friendlies in Austria
Shakhtar opened their Austrian training camp with a meeting with the 3.Liga representatives KFC Uerdingen 05.
In the first half, the teams netted no goals: Marcos Antonio could have distinguished himself before the break, had his attempt not had hit the post. The Orange-and-Blacks opened the scoring in the 62nd minute after a goal by Gustavo Blanco Leschuk, but in the dying stages of the game, Uerdingen 05 managed to level the score.
