Shakhtar manager Luis Castro reflects on the encounter with Wolfsberger (2-0)

- I can describe the game like this: we just played but didn’t play well. We operated not up to the mark. Yes, we had a few opportunities and managed to score goals, but did not deliver a quality performance. Wolfsberger caused us a huge amount of difficulties during our goal kicks. We didn’t manage to carry out our patterned attacks in the opponents’ half of the pitch, and when we did that, given their pressure by a large number of players, we lacked a balance in defence and there were lots of spaces. We scored two goals, could still score more but didn’t show our best level.

- Did you like Shakhtar in the friendly against Proleter more than the one against Wolfsberger?
- No, I don’t compare them. Each game has its own context, and the rivals are different. I always analyze the match separately. Both in the morning and in the evening, there were both positive moments and negative ones. We’ll analyze everything and see what was good, we’ll see why it was difficult to kick off and why those problems occurred. And in the next match, no doubt, we will do better.

- Is Wolfsberger the strongest rival at the training camp, of the Europa League level?
- No. We’ve already played Copenhagen, the best team in Denmark, who will compete in the Champions League qualifying stage. They are difficult opponents, but we controlled them. Wolfsberger are the Europa League group stage participants, they also are very competent opponents. But they weren’t our major problem, we caused it ourselves.

- What are Shakhtar’s plans for tomorrow?
- To make sure that the players recover. In three days, we’ll have another game. We need to practise the aspects that we have shown today not in the best way.
