- Is the new formation easy to learn?
- Yes, the coaches explain it quite clearly.
- What do they normally say before the match?
- They prompt how to press properly, how to offer yourself behind their backs. We practise everything in training, then I transfer it into play.
- Shakhtar dominated the meeting with CSKA. Was it a tough friendly?
- It was difficult mainly due to the heat of 35 degrees Celsius. The sunshine was just ferocious, but we tried our best, and everyone did well.
- What’s your form after the training camp?
- We’re not fully ready yet as we’ve just started working. We’re preparing for the season. We’ve got the second training camp ahead, in which, I guess, we’ll also have some fitness training. Perhaps, the first sessions were tough for the guys after the holidays, but everyone trained to the max and it got easier in the end.
- You had next to no holiday ...
- Yes, just seven days. I spent some time with my relatives in Zhytomyr, that’s it.
