Shakhtar players set off to join their respective national teams

The clubs have taken a break for their international duty. The Shakhtar players who have not been called up by national teams will continue training at the Sviatoshyn suburban complex. All the Miners will gather together again on March 26.
 
Start of Euro 2020 qualifiers
 
The national team of Ukraine begin the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying campaign with away games: on March 22 vs Portugal (21:45, Lisbon), and on March 25 vs Luxembourg (21:45, Luxembourg).
 
In order to get prepared for those games, the Ukraine manager Andriy Shevchenko has called up 27 players, including 9 Shakhtar players: goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov; defenders Sergii Kryvtsov, Bohdan Butko, Mykola Matviienko; midfielders Taras Stepanenko, Marlos, Viktor Kovalenko, Serhii Bolbat; forward Junior Moraes.

The national team of Georgia featuring the Shakhtar defender David Khocholava, start their way in the qualifying tournament. On March 23, Vladimir Weiss’s men will take on Switzerland at home, and on March 26, they will play against Ireland.
 
Solomon vs Slovenia and Austria
 
Shakhtar midfielder Manor Solomon has been called up to the Israeli national team, who will play the following home games: on March 21 vs Slovenia, and on March 24 vs Austria.
 
The youth are getting ready
 
The Ukraine U21 team will hold a training camp in Turkey in March, they will also take part in an international tournament vs their counterparts from Estonia, Macedonia, Kazakhstan, and Latvia. 5 Miners made it into Ruslan Rotan’s squad: goalkeeper Yevhen Kucherenko, defenders Ivan Semenikhin, Volodymyr Yakymets, midfielders Dmytro Topalov and Maksym Chekh. This is a reminder that the Ukrainians start their 2021 UEFA Euro U21 campaign on September 6.
 
The Ukraine U20 team managed by Oleksandr Petrakov, are preparing for the FIFA U20 World Cup 2019, which starts in Poland in late May. Currently, the Blue-and-Yellows are training in Spain, where they will play friendlies vs South Korea (March 21) and Uruguay (March 25). The team have four Shakhtar players: defenders Valerii Bondar, Viktor Korniienko, Yukhym Konoplia, and striker Andrii Kulakov.
 
Also, 18 players of Shakhtar Academy have been called up to the youth teams of Ukraine of different age groups.
