Shakhtar goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin is in the top ten of the youngest club debutants in Ukrainian history

The Shakhtar Academy graduate appeared in the starting line-up in the Premier League round 31 game vs Mariupol at the age of 17 years and 298 days.

Zubov is the record holder

Since 1992, 11 footballers have made their debut for Shakhtar over 17 years. The record still belongs to Henadii Zubov, who first appeared as the first-team regular on October 31, 1994 at the age of 17 years and 49 days, and netted a goal in the cup tie vs Sistema-Boreks.

Mudryk and Trubin are the new millennium players

Interestingly, exactly 24 years later - on October 31, 2018 - Mykhailo Mudryk made his Ukrainian Cup debut vs Olimpik. At that time, the midfielder was 17 years and 299 days old. Anatolii Trubin is only 1 day older than him. Those are the two youngest players of Shakhtar to have been born in the new millennium (in 2001).
