On May 4, Shakhtar thrashed Lviv in Kharkiv
Paulo Fonseca’s men played their 50th home game at the OSK Metalist and claimed a 5-0 win. In the first half, Alvaro netted an own goal; after the break, Wellington Nem, Serhii Bolbat, Viktor Kovalenko, and Alan Patrick got their names on the scoresheet.
A record set!
So, Shakhtar have set another all-time record of the club: 20 clean sheets in the 2018/19 Premier League season (18 wins, 2 draws). In the 2005/06 league campaign, with Mircea Lucescu at the helm, they secured 19 clean sheets (17, 2); in the last two seasons under Paulo Fonseca – 15 clean sheets in each season. It is important that the Orange-and-Blacks scored this record long before the 30th round, since in the 2005/06 season there were just as many games (now they have 32 rounds); and currently, they can only raise their own bar before the end of the competition.

The Miners had a 60% possession, 92% of completed passes, 19 shots and 11 of them on target. Interestingly, on most occasions, corners were delivered by Taison (3), with Antonio, Nem, and Tete taking one each.

The Shakhtar captain was absolutely rightfully recognized as Man of the Match. Taison was a key performer in quick attacks - in the second half he provided 3 assists (for the first time this season). He is the absolute leader in the UPL for the number of assists (12). Aggregately, the Brazilian boasts 14 successful passes (plus 1 in the Ukrainian Cup and 1 in the Champions League).
