At Dnipro-Arena on September 10, Ukraine national team had a friendly match vs Nigeria
The game ended in a 2-2 draw. The Nigerians scored an early goal and doubled the lead from the spot, however, in the second half, Andriy Shevchenko's men equalized in a couple of minutes: Zinchenko fired an excellent shot into the near corner shortly before Yaremchuk used his chance after Marlos’ delivery.
Shakhtar defender Mykola Matviienko spent the full 90 minutes, forward Junior Moraes was replaced shortly before the break due to injury, and midfielder Viktor Kovalenko worked for 67 minutes. Also during the second half, Marlos and Yevhen Konoplyanka actively joined in the action. Late in the game, the Shakhtar newcomer earned a free-kick and could have made his team victorious, but for Uzoho coming to the Nigerians’ rescue.
