- Congratulations on the victory and your brace against Kolos. Have you scored two goals in a match before?
- Thank you! This is my first double at Shakhtar. I’m really happy to have benefited the team. It was important to start the new season with a win.
- Shakhtar converted only the third penalty. Did you have a trembling sensation in your legs while approaching the ball?
- Of course, that moment was mentally pressing. We were going through a special moment after having missed two penalties in a row. It was necessary to keep cool and calm. I understood that and am glad that I managed to score that goal with a cool head.
- Did you dedicate your goals to anyone?
- To my children. I have a daughter and a son. One goal for each of them.
- What did the coaches say in the dressing room after the match? Were they happy with the performance and the result?
- Mister, as a rule, does not talk about the game right after the final whistle. He simply congratulated the team on the victory. Now, it’s important to rest because the process of recovery and training before the Super Cup is already beginning. To claim a victory, we need to approach it in a perfect form.
- Have you managed to recover mentally and physically after the Europa League?
- Of course, we had very little time. But after the pandemic situation, we all had to adapt to the circumstances. The new season began immediately after the end of the previous one. I think this issue relates more to psychology. It’s important to correctly assess the situation and get prepared in order for Shakhtar to achieve their goals again.
- In the next match, you and Dynamo will reveal the stronger side in the Super Cup. How will you prepare for it?
- We understand how important our victory in this match is for our fans. At the moment, we need to recover and be fully prepared. We want to show our own game and earn the first title this season.
