I want to thank the fans for the recognition! It’s always nice to receive awards, although the main thing for me is for the team to achieve their goals
“I want to thank the fans for the recognition! It’s always nice to receive awards, although the main thing for me is for the team to achieve their goals,” the goalkeeper Andriy Pyatov shared his emotions. “The year 2019 was a productive year. We need to take all the best from it, to analyze everything and draw conclusions from the negative aspects, and to move on. I continue to work and study, and I hope to get even stronger.”
My win was unexpected because this season I’ve scored only one goal, but it so happened that they called it the best one
“My win was unexpected because this season I’ve scored only one goal, but it so happened that they called it the best one. I want to thank the fans, and especially my closest fans - my mom and the mother-in-law who supported me in the poll! The goal really turned out to be spectacular, but, as for me, the main thing is not a spectacular shot, but the result it brings for the team. For me personally, the best goals last year included the one by Sergii Kryvtsov that brought us the win over Dynamo, along with the goals by Moraes and Marlos against the same Kyiv-based team, and Dodo’s goal in the Champions League. They are really important,” Taras Stepanenko pointed out.
The team congratulated the awardees with applause and jokes, and when Pyatov was receiving his prize, one of the teammates shouted “Tony is the best” to highlight the merits of the goalkeeping coach Antonio Ferreira.
Training routine
This was a positive start of the hard work that is habitual for training camps: running, squares, developing the final attacking phase, and shots on goal. A group of defenders concluded the session with a series of special exercises for practicing defensive actions.
Tonight, the Miners will have a pre-scheduled training session in the fitness room.
