On June 28, Andriy Pyatov marks his birthday
The Shakhtar goalkeeper turned 36 years old, including the 13 years he spent with Shakhtar. We invite you to recall the key stages of Andriy’s career at the club.
June 17, 2007. At the press centre of RSK Olimpiyskiy, they introduced Andriy Pyatov as a Shakhtar player. The goalkeeper picked number 30.
July 10, 2007. The new Shakhtar goalkeeper made his debut in the Ukrainian Super Cup clash vs Dynamo Kyiv.
September 18, 2007. Shakhtar 2-0 Celtic. Pyatov made his first appearance in the UEFA Champions League group stage. He kept a clean sheet and the team won thanks to two early goals by Brandao and Cristiano Lucarelli.
May 20, 2009. Shakhtar 2-1 Werder Bremen. Andriy won the last UEFA Cup in the competition history with Shakhtar.
September 18, 2016. Vorskla 0-1 Shakhtar. The Shakhtar keeper first led his teammates onto the field with a captain's armband on.
October 19, 2018. Shakhtar 1-0 Desna. Pyatov made his 400th appearance for Shakhtar.
May 19, 2019. Andriy kept his 200th clean sheet for Shakhtar and the team defeated Zorya in Zaporizhia through a precision shot by Junior Moraes (1-0) and secured the 2018/19 league title 3 rounds away from the league season end.
October 1, 2019. The Shakhtar goalkeeper parried away Josip Ilicic’s attempt from the spot and topped the Champions League goalkeepers list for the number of penalty saves (5).
November 6, 2019. On 90+5 minutes, Pyatov earned a spot-kick in the Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb. Tete coolly converted that set-piece and equalized (3-3).
June 20, 2020. Shakhtar 3-2 Oleksandriia. The tenth league title of Andriy Pyatov with Shakhtar and the 26th trophy in his career with the Orange-and-Blacks.
