On November 23rd, Shakhtar held a scheduled training session in Sviatoshyno
This Wednesday, November 25, the team will face Borussia in Monchengladbach.
On Monday, November 23, the team held a 75-minute training session. The main focus was orchestrating attacks and practising shots on target.
Mandatory testing
Today, the Miners underwent mandatory COVID-19 testing before the Champions League match. Together with the team, Viktor Kovalenko looks forward to his test result after having self-isolated upon his return from international duty. The midfielder has already had a medical, so he will start training on Tuesday in case of testing negative.
Based on the test results, Trubin, Bondar and Marlos may well rejoin the general group.
Personnel issue
Taison still trains individually – he did not appear in the game vs Oleksandriia on Saturday. Khocholava and Dentinho are recovering from injuries.
Plans for tomorrow
On the morning of Tuesday, November 24, Shakhtar will have an open training session in Sviatoshyno. At 13:00 at the Opera Hotel, Luis Castro and Taras Stepanenko will answer the reporters' questions, and at 15:30 they will fly to Germany.
The UCL group stage MD4 meeting Monchengladbach v Shakhtar will start at 19:55 Ukrainian time on November 25.
