Borussia Monchengladbach manager Marco Rose commented on his team's victory on the UCL MD3

- Your team demonstrated pressure, extraordinary conversion, good attacking performance and safe defending. Is this the perfect play by Marco Rose’s Gladbach?
- We earned three points, scoring six goals and conceding none. We converted many chances, showcasing the right play in many situations. Of course, certain small things remain, but we will analyze them later. This is our day. Monchengladbach claimed a major away win in the Champions League, and as a coach I’m really happy.

- Did Shakhtar surprise you in any way? What led to this big score?
- I would neither discuss nor blame our opponents. The only thing I can say is that Shakhtar might have expected the kind of play that’s different from what we delivered. I think that in three weeks’ time in Monchengladbach, the Miners will show an entirely different play.

- Your away victory today is beyond doubt, but is the 6-0 scoreline logical?
- It’s the victory that was well-deserved. We have scored lots of spectacular goals. I was particularly impressed by the second and third. As for the opponents, a lot didn’t work for them. 6-0 is an unusual score for Shakhtar, which is why I think the return leg will be different.

- Alassane Plea scored a hat-trick. How would you rate his contribution to the teamwork?
- First of all, credit for today's victory goes to the whole team. But if we talk about individual players, then, indeed, Alassane did a great job, and I can describe his attributes as excellent. He is a top player, and I think that this player will hone and improve his skills and knowledge.

- Please describe the attacking duo of Marcus Thuram and Alassane Plea.
- Their performance is absolutely stunning, they understand each other and interact well. This is the result of hard work in training. They work hard, which then allows them to prove themselves on the field.

- Your team have a good run of form now, as evidenced by the results in the Champions League and the Bundesliga. Do you regret that now you have to take a break due to international games?
- I am worried about the players’ ability to prove themselves given this tight schedule, I’m concerned about the health of my lads, whether they will manage to withstand this pace of games, with matches taking place every two or three days. This is what worries me the most.

- How do you feel as the group leaders?
- We played exactly half of the matches and now we look at the other sides from the top spot. But this is only half the way and the remaining three games may change everything. What we know for sure is this: in three weeks, Shakhtar will display a completely different play and try to change the situation in their favour. Therefore, we are going to rejoice at the victory now, and then we will begin to work to retain our position.

- Borussia have claimed their second victory in a row, keeping a clean sheet. Is it a coincidence or a pattern?
- I don’t think we did anything supernatural. We didn’t concede a single goal, but this is a consequence of the work done. And we still have to work more.
