Shakhtar U19 played their Vorskla counterparts away

It should be noted that yesterday, four U19 players - Danyil Udod, Artur Mykytyshyn, Nazarii Havryliuk and Artem Sholar - took part in Shakhtar U21’s match.

Busy start

The Miners started the game with Sholar's very dangerous free-kick in the 1st minute - the attempt went wide. The Poltava side responded with an early goal by Yan Kostenko (1-0), netting another one in the 19th minute thanks to the efforts of Denys Rudenko (2-0). This development of events did not suit Shakhtar, so the Orange-and-Blacks immediately pulled one back - in the 21st minute, the leader of the Donetsk defenders Danyil Udod launched a victorious attack, with Artur Mykytyshyn reducing the deficit by his clinical shot inside the far corner - 2-1. Midway through the first half, Artem Sholar was brought down in the opposing penalty area, but the referee did not point to the spot. Knysh and Vlasov threatened Puzankov's goal from outside the penalty area - just wide. Ratulutra's men continued their all-out attacks: Danyil Udod, after a corner kick, took a dangerous attempt on target, with Oleh Kozishkurt finding himself one on one with the Poltava keeper only to see his effort go wide.

Game advantage

Early in the second half, the Miners attacked more, with the hosts playing defensively. Shakhtar had a territorial advantage and kept the ball in the opponents' half. Danyil Udod tried to repeat the goal-scoring attack, slaloming with the ball across the entire field and feeding his teammate only to see the Vorskla defenders stopping the threat in front of their goal. In the 77th minute, the hosts’ entire defence were just powerless after Bendera and Fesyun faced each other in a one-on-one challenge. Having received Losenko’s splitting pass, Ivan confidently beat the goalkeeper, making it 2-2. The closing stages of the match were fully dominated by Ratulutra’s players. Bako and Losenko had their chances, but Fesyun rescued Vorskla. In the dying stages, the young Miners orchestrated a dangerous attack: Buleza crossed the ball into the goal area, with nobody scoring though.

On October 30, the Orange-and-Blacks will host Mariupol.
