Shakhtar U21 team have claimed the biggest win this season

On MD4, Fernando Valente's lads secured an 8-0 win. Shakhtar centre-forward Bohdan Viunnyk scored five goals and provided two assists, with the captain Heorhii Sudakov providing three assists.

Consistency and rotation

Olimpik U21 manager Vladyslav Burlaka changed five players in comparison with the previous match when his players had lost 0-1 to Minaj U21. His counterpart Fernando Valente, despite the tight game schedule, fielded the same winning line-up as he did four days ago vs Rukh U21 in Vynnyky (3-1).

Goals like scheduled

In the opening stages, the Miners took the ball under control and tried to orchestrate attacks through short and mid-range passes. This season, the Miners’ tradition is to score early goals. Today, in the 8th minute, Sudakov intercepted the ball near the opposing penalty area and sent it into Viunnyk’s path, with Bohdan beating a defender and firing it past the goalkeeper who rushed out to intercept it – 1-0. Still dominating it, Shakhtar doubled the lead eight minutes later. A corner-kick ended in Viunnyk's pass to Sudakov, then Heorhii flicked it inside the far corner – 2-0. The Miners carried out the next scoring attack started by Sudakov exactly eight minutes later. Heorhii sent Chyruk through on goal, Andrii might well complete the move himself but he decided to play for sure and fed Viunnyk who made it 3-0!

Unstoppable Viunnyk

Early in the second half, a pairing of Sudakov and Viunnik again shoucased some perfect mutual understanding. Heorhii entered the left-hand side of the opposing penalty area and passed the ball to the goal line where Bohdan beat the defender and volleyed it home – 4-0. When scoring the fifth goal, Viunnyk acted as an assist provider, having previously beaten the goalkeeper and then passing it to Shostak whose overhead kick made it 5-0. But that was not all. The sixth and seventh goals were scored by Viunnyk again - the Olimpik defenders were just helpless against him. On both occasions, assists were delivered from the left (by Sudakov and then Drambaev), with Bohdan racing clear and applying a precision finish. The forward netted five goals in the game and nine this season. The substitute Honcharuk sealed the win by beating the goalkeeper and rolling the ball into the back of the unguarded net.

8-0 - Shakhtar U21 have scored 12 points out of 12 in four games (with goal difference of 18-3). Fernando Valente's lads will play their next match away vs Desna on October 3rd.
