Marlos leaves the national team

The footballer made an address thanking everyone for their assistance and support over the course of four years.

“I am leaving the Ukraine national team. It's sad to talk about it, but the moment has come for me to do it. Few people know it, but I have certain fitness issues and limitations associated with the previous operation which don’t allow me to play as much as I would like. I want to say thank you to everyone who gave me this opportunity four years ago - to be a Ukrainian and play for the national team! I am grateful to the UAF president Andriy Pavelko and the former head coach Andriy Shevchenko for their trust and support. I would like to thank all my teammates: guys, you have become a real football family for me and my friends on and off the pitch - you will remain my friends forever. And, of course, I am grateful to every fan of the national team of Ukraine. We have experienced many moments, joyful and tough, but we have always done it together, united by common football goals. I believe that the national team has a great future. There are many young talented players in the squad, so I believe that the team will achieve great success. My story in the national team is over now, but my heart will always be with this team and the guys. Thank you all,” said Marlos.
