Post-match press conference by Oleksandriia's head coach Yurii Hura
- It was a spectacular play. I want to thank the guys, they followed the game plan that we had given them: compact defence, no dropping deep, no lost balls without a reason, and switching to attacking through passing to start counterplay instead.
- Have you fully staffed the team? What are the team’s objectives?
- You are constantly asking the same question. The staffing is over now. We will carry out the tasks set by the management for us.
- You don't beat Shakhtar every day. Would you tell us how you planned your play? How did you try to resist Shakhtar's new transition from defence to attack?
- I told you: there was a plan to play tightly at the back, without dropping deep down the penalty area, with keeping a distance from the goal, with winning the ball in midfield and launching attacks through the flanks.
- How have Shakhtar changed compared to last season?
- They changed significantly. I remember the last game when they came to Oleksandriia and Oleksandriia won 2-0. It was an absolutely different team. But Shakhtar is Shakhtar. Now you can see: they’ve got pretty decent footballers on whom they spent money, and they strengthened the squad.
- Congrats on a purely coaching victory - you beat Roberto De Zerbi. And the question is about tactic: you actively use the mobile zone and do it very competently, you get out of it very well. In the 75th minute, you just entered the active phase, and I thought you would score the third goal. But you replaced the number 9 forward. Did he get tired or did you have a different vision?
- To be honest, he got tired.
- We can see that your attacking variability isn’t that wide. In the future, will you somehow change it tactically since you won’t be able to sign up someone else?
- I’ve said it so many times: we will play differently against different opponents. For example, we cannot play our own game, so we start to adjust it. Against Minaj, for instance, it was hard for us to rip open their defence – the strikers didn’t move quickly enough as we’d like them to. Today we’ve slightly changed the line-up, and it seems to have worked out.
