Shakhtar midfielder Heorhii Sudakov reflects on his first training camp with the first team and the win at Sileks live on Shakhtar TV
- The second half turned out to be really successful: while trailing 0-1, you scored four goals. What do you make of the outcome and the game in general?
- The main thing is not a positive result, but our play because we’ve been working at a training camp. No training session can replace a match, regardless of the opponents. The most important thing is building our play and meeting every requirement of the coach. We work a lot on pressing, ball control and finishing. Bringing the things we practise to the football field is our major objective.
- How far it your fitness from the optimum form?
- This is just the first training camp, so it’s 50 percent. After the second one, it will be possible to say that we’ve rediscovered the top form.
- How do you find playing in this weather?
- It's a bit unpleasant if you do it against the wind, but in the second half it turned out that we were playing downwind. It seems that it was harder for the opponents. In general, football has no weather requirements, so it doesn't matter whether you play in the snow or under direct sunlight.
- How different are the training camps of the first team and the U21 team?
- This is my first training camp of this kind of intensity. I suppose this is the main difference between the first team and the reserve one. Perhaps the training sessions are short, without much running, but the process itself is such that you don't even have time to think about rest. Concentration is always maximum, you need to give your all. Plus this is my first training camp - everyone has gone through this once. I’m young and want to prove myself, so I work twice as hard as the rest.
