The final part of the first training camp of Roman Zaiev's team
At the Sviatoshyn sports complex on July 6th, Shakhtar women's team held their first training session that was open to the media.
Roman Zaiev's charges are completing the weekly cycle of their training camp. The girls conducted a warm-up with balls, practised various game situations, while the goalkeepers trained separately under the guidance of Dmytro Shutkov.
In the end, the footballers split into two groups and played a small-sided game. In total, the session involving 18 sportswomen lasted 60 minutes.

- The team is very close-knit, the week of training was great! It was introductory because there was a break after the previous league campaign. Now everyone needs to recover in order to prepare for the second stage of the training camp. It kicks off on July 14th and we are facing bigger workloads.
Let us remind you that the women’s team season will begin on August 15th (the base date of round 1). Shakhtar will play in the First League, opening their league campaign with an encounter with Kropyvnytskyi-based Bahira.
