Pedrinho speaks about his adaptation and the beginning of summer training with Shakhtar
In an interview with Shakhtar TV, the Shakhtar newcomer shared his impression of the first days of his stay at the club.
- I’m very happy with the way the team received me. There’s a pleasant atmosphere and a comfortable climate here - everything is in place to work productively. Everything works out thanks to the teammates’ help.
- A lot of your fellow citizens play for Shakhtar, but who prompts and helps you to adapt more than others?
- I previously played with Maycon for Corinthians, and with Dodo I played for Brazil youth team. I also know Dentinho very well – we communicated via the Internet. I also always followed my other compatriots at Shakhtar, but Maycon, Dodo and Dentinho are my closest friends. They help me a lot, so my adaptation goes faster.
- New team, new coaching staff, what about the training process?
- Training sessions help me learn many things. We have very professional coaching staff who love intense work. There is no doubt that we will be successful with these coaches.
- Are there any exercises that are new to you?
- Each coach has their own methods, and for footballers this is an opportunity to learn something new. Indeed, there are some exercises that I didn’t know. We believe in the ideas of our coach and will be ready when the competitive games kick off.
- What individual goals do you set for yourself at the summer camp?
- Probably, we primarily need to think about the team, and not about our personal goals. If the team is doing well, I’ll also be fine. I want to give my maximum to benefit Shakhtar in the best possible way.
