FC Shakhtar Commercial Director Dmitriy Kirilenko spoke in his interview to shakhtar.com about preparations for the upcoming Europa League match and expectations for the game with spectators present
- Dmitriy, how many spectators do you expect at the match against Roma? Will it be a record figure this season?
- First of all, I would like to point out that, given the worsening epidemiological situation in Kyiv in particular and in Ukraine in general, we decided to reduce the number of tickets for the match to 20% of the stadium capacity. Health is a primary value, therefore, despite the permission to receive up to 22 thousand fans (30% of the NSC Olimpiyskiy capacity), we have brought the figure down to 20% - this is about 14 thousand maximum.
- Have all the tickets been sold out?
- Not yet, and now you have the last opportunity to buy tickets. In general, we expect about 14 thousand fans at the match against Roma, whose support should help the team in this responsible game.
- What precautions should fans take?
- In accordance with the UEFA’s Return to Play protocol and the rules of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, fans are required to keep the social distance (tickets are sold taking into account a distance of 1.5 metres between spectators), wear masks throughout the match, use the sanitizers installed at the stadium, plus compulsory temperature screening will be carried out at the entrance. I am sure that if all the rules are observed, attending a match outdoors at the NSC Olimpiyskiy will be safer than a usual trip in the Kyiv metro or a walk in the park.
