We sum up the 2020/21 season results for Shakhtar
We start it with the goalkeeper role. In the past season, Luis Castro fielded two goalkeepers in competitive games in all competitions.
Anatolii Trubin
The coaching staff relied mostly on Anatolii Trubin who spent a total of 2,864 minutes keeping the goal (hereinafter including the stoppage time minutes). The Shakhtar Academy graduate who turned 19 at the beginning of the season, has appeared in 30 out of 37 matches, conceding 28 goals: 15 in the league, eight in the Champions League and five in the Europa League. At the same time, he kept 15 clean sheets (vs Real Madrid, two vs Inter, two vs Maccabi, Dynamo, Dnipro-1, Kolos, Rukh, Olimpik, Desna, Vorskla, Mariupol, Minaj, Inhulets). Calculated for 90 minutes, Trubin made 2.7 saves, with the accuracy of long balls being 59%.
Andriy Pyatov
The Shakhtar captain remained on the bench more often this season. Pyatov played for 699 minutes (in the Super Cup vs Dynamo, in the Championship vs Olimpik, Desna, Mariupol and Oleksandriia, in the Cup vs Ahrobiznes and in the Champions League vs Borussia Monchengladbach), conceding 12 goals. In September’s meeting with Olimpik, Andriy kept a clean sheet. All in all, during his spell at Shakhtar, the goalkeeper has secured 213 clean sheets. 60% of his long balls were accurate, with an average of 1.67 saves.
