Season results: Dodo performed to the max

In all games, Luis Castro used the formation with four defenders. The only exception was the Champions League encounter with Inter in Milan, in which he fielded five defenders (0-0).

Picking and changing roles

Last season, as many as ten players appeared as defenders. The rightback Dodo got the maximum playing time - he has amassed 3,134 minutes (hereinafter including stoppage time) in 34 matches. In the whole team in general, this is the highest appearance time figure.
 
Mykola Matviienko has 2,619 minutes in 29 games - both in his main role (51%) and at leftback (49%). His centreback teammates Serhii Kryvtsov (1,736 minutes, 18 games), Valerii Bondar (1,565; 18), Vitao (1,369; 17) and David Khocholava (1,027; 12) spent less time on the pitch.

Three more players were fielded down the left wing. Viktor Korniienko has a total of 1,220 minutes in 16 matches, Marquinhos Cipriano has 590 minutes in 8 matches, and Ismaily played for only 290 minutes (3 games) due to a long recovery. Serhii Bolbat appeared on the right (79%) and on the left (21%), making a total of 541 minutes (8 games).
