In a traditional opinion poll, Shakhtar fans have named the midfielder as the Player of the Month
A total of 11,550 fans took part in the vote on the club’s social media.
The winner of this traditional poll is the central midfielder Taras Stepanenko who was supported by 7,408 poll participants. The second spot went to the winger Tete (2,924) and the third position belongs to the striker Dentinho (1,218).
In May, Stepanenko appeared in two games which were won by the Miners. They defeated Dnipro-1 2-1 and thrashed Minaj 4-0. Taras boasts a double against the Uzhgorod-based team. This victory saw the Miners finish the current UPL campaign as runners-up.
