In an interview to Futbol 1 TV channel, Shakhtar Director of Football Darijo Srna spoke about the appointment of De Zerbi as the Miners’ head coach
"If you watch every game of Sassuolo, you can see that their play fully coincides with ours. De Zerbi likes young footballers, he loves playing football. I’m sure that solid, quality football will bring us results. In Italy with Sassuolo, he showed just what we need by playing on equal terms with any team. He is open-hearted, really kind, but on the field you can see another Roberto De Zerbi - the man keeping the whole team, all the players under pressure. He loves working from morning till night.
