Ukraine U21 claimed the fourth win in the 2023 UEFA European U21 Championship qualifying competition

In Lviv, the U21 team beat their Serbian counterparts. The starting lineup included four Shakhtar players: Anatolii Trubin, Artem Bondarenko, Heorhii Sudakov and Mykhailo Mudryk.

It was the Miners who took part in the scoring attacks. In the 9th minute Trubin sent a long ball down the wing, Mudryk burst into the penalty area and provided Kryskiv with a precision pass. A lot more unconverted chances followed, including Bondarenko’s spot-kick. In the second half, the visitors managed to equalize, but almost immediately Bondarenko won the ball on the flank and found Sudakov who fired a low ball inside the near corner, making it 2-1.

After 6 rounds, France U21 and Ukraine U21 broke away from the rest of the group sides. Ruslan Rotan's team are three points adrift of the leaders whom they will lock horns with in March 2022.
