Kyiv hosted a conference for the development of women's football in Ukraine and worldwide
Representatives of Parimatch Ukraine and FC Shakhtar discussed the prospects for the development of women's football in Ukraine at the PM Media club meeting that took place in the PM Hall. As part of the event, they also introduced the partnership between Parimatch Ukraine and the women's team of FC Shakhtar.
These days, football is one of the most promising team games for women, and Ukrainian footballers are showing good results. Let us remind you that starting from this season, the UAF has obliged all the clubs of UPL and First League to create women's teams.
Sergei Palkin, FC Shakhtar CEO:
“The development of women's football is a big trend in recent years. The UEFA and the UAF are working hard to ensure that women's football gets full membership in the football family. Shakhtar, in turn, supports this direction and contributes to the promotion of women's football. We are delighted that now we will be engaged in its development together with the club’s title partner Parimatch. Together we’ll be able to do a lot more.”
Natalya Gilevich, Parimatch Ukraine CEO:
“Women's football is an important component of sports as an industry, so Parimatch does not stand aside and is ready to support the female players on the path of their professional development and popularization of women's football in Ukraine.”
Alan McTavish, a representative of England’s Everton – Parimatch’s another partner club, also took part in the discussion. He pointed out that in his opinion, the implementation of the achievements of the management of foreign clubs will contribute to the development of Ukrainian women's teams.
